I am a student of science--a slave of reason. While i wish for a happy, healthy life, my background in science and reason will never allow me succumb to the rubbish these funny characters and their fellow spiritualists call healing and miracle.
If today--against my wish--i get struck with a disease and the users of medicine say it's beyond their power, I will remember how polio, eclipse, cancer, twins, Ebola, HIV etc. were at different times under the umbra of scientific consciousness until researches unlocked the "mysteries" either in totality or partially.
I will not visit a spiritualist, a 21st century Pithecanthropus to listen to how my mum, who has been weaning me for almost 30 years is "doing me." I will not allow a jobless man prophesize how my Dad who has been merciful to me comes from a cursed lineage!
I will not because JSS2 Basic Science and SS2 Biology taught me the major way my parents can "do me" is via a genotype mismatch: AS+AS=SS, and since I'm AA, that story will never fly! Others, which include medical history is not for spiritual businessmen to poke their noses.
My brain,mind and reasoning will never forsake me to visiting these custodians of adulterated facts who will feed me with watery oil and grass!
The ignorant, although certificated disciples of these funny characters have swallowed snakes, drank adulterated oil, ate grass, prayed nude, had holy sex...they've done every damned thing these so-called Men of God asked that they do allegedly through the command of the Holy Bird with Holy Wings!
My believe in God has never prevented me from knowing that in part, 99% of what we pray for are consequences of the laws of physics, universe and karma. In this wretched abode, 99% of the prayer points you guys spend time on will automatically become meaningless once the government at all levels come alive!
